ENGINEERING DRAWING QUESTION BANK 312311
Assignment No. 4, 5
(a) A square pyramid, side of base 35 mm, axis length 65 mm lying on
the HP with all edges of bases are equally inclined to V.P .Its Axis inclined
at 45⁰ to HP and parallel to V.P. Draw its projections.
Solution:
(b)
A Square prism of side of base 40 mm and length of axis is 60 mm
long is kept on VP on a corner of a base such that its axis makes an angle of
30⁰ to VP and parallel to HP. Draw the projection of prism.
(c)
A cylinder of base 50 mm and axis length 60 mm is lying on the HP
with its axis is inclined to VP at 30⁰ and parallel to HP .Draw the projection
of a cylinder.
(d)
A cone base 50 mm diameter and axis 55 mm long
is resting on H.P on a point of its base. Draw its projections if it base makes
an angle of 30⁰ to the H.P and axis is parallel o V.P.
(e)
A cube with a 50 mm side is resting on one of its corners on the
ground. Draw the projection when the base is inclined at 45⁰ to ground and axis
parallel to VP.
(f)
A cylinder of 70 mm diameter and 100 mm height
is penetrated by
another cylinder of 50 mm diameter .The
axis of the penetrated
cylinder is parallel to the both HP
& the VP is 8 mm away from the axis
of the vertical cylinder. Draw its
projections showing curves of
Intersections.
(g)
A square prism of base side 40 mm and axis
height 90 mm is rest on H.P such that
its side of base equally inclined with
V.P. A circular hole of Diameter 35 mm is drilled through the prism such that axis of prism
perpendicular to V.P. and Parallel to H.P and bisects the axis of square prism .Draw
the development of surface of the prism.
(h)
Draw
the Development of lateral surfaces of square pyramid having base side 30 mm and
axis height 60 mm. All faces of pyramid equally inclined to V.P.
(i)
Draw the development of lateral surface of
square prism of base side 30 mm & axis height 60 mm, has its one side of
base parallel to V.P and nearer to observer.
(j)
Draw the development of the lateral surface of the cylinder shown
in Fig.
Solution:
