                              Now a days Our planet suffers from dangerous problem of pollution, global warming etc.  which is harmful to our natural environment. The Pollution & Global warming problem is upsetting government and society in general and is endangering health and the environment. The solution to fight against pollution & global warming is development & implementation of green technologies under Green Engineering.

                 So , we should understand ,  What is Green Engineering ? What are green technologies we can develop ? What is our role in green engineering? 

Green engineering is the design, commercialization, and use of processes and products in a way that reduces pollution, promotes sustainability, and minimizes risk to human health and the environment without sacrificing economic viability and efficiency.

                We should develop equipments & Process as well as practices under Green Engineering like

 1)Waste water treatment:  Developments water treatments products & processes helps to treat waste water at max. level to utilise in various applications. Key developments include membrane filtration, microbial fuel cells, nanotechnology, development of biological treatments and natural treatment systems such as wetlands.

                                     

2)Elimination of industrial emissions: Development of  Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO), Regenerative Catalytic Oxidation (RCO) systems, DeNOx systems etc. helps to eliminate industrial  emissions to avoid environment damage

3)Recycling and waste management: Development & use technologies such as smart containers, automated food waste tracking systems and automated optical scanning technologies can help sort mixed plastics by separating them from others helps to recycle it in useful products like composts, Biogas,plastic granuals etc.

4)Self-sufficient buildings: Developments & use of  Aluminum Weather Resistant Insulated Access Panel to regulate indoor temperature and prevent moisture and pests from entering, Energy Efficient Windows, Green Roof, Solar Power, Water Conservation, Recycling, Landscaping.

5) Generation of energy from the waves: Development & uses  devices like wave converters helps  to generate electrical energy from wave power.

                                

6)Vehicles that do not emit gases : Development & uses  Electrical vehicle, ecological vehicles helps in reducing the polluting gases in the atmosphere, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx), unburned hydrocarbons (HC) and compounds of lead and Sulphur dioxide.

7) Harnessing solar energy: Development & uses solar technologies to convert sunlight into electrical energy like photovoltaic (PV) panels, mirrors that concentrate solar radiation. This energy can be used to generate electricity or be stored in batteries or thermal storage.

8. Vertical gardens and farms: The installation of vertical 

.

gardens in buildings also helps save energy and brings many 

benefits to the environment. Vertical gardens don’t need watering routines that involve unnecessary use of water, and because they are installed along a wall, they reduce the intense hearing pollution that comes from the outside and even that one that you can generate

                     Green engineering is the new trend for the construction, automobile, manufacturing industries. Under Green Engineering, few innovations are in progress like Zero Energy Buildings, Use of waste to create concrete alternatives.   This is good news for environmentalist that would want to adopt it & make a change positively. Adopting & practicing it delivers economic, environmental, and social benefits. If we all practices green technologies, it would be easier for humans to meet their needs without depleting natural resources. It is good for each to shift into green engineering for a sustainable development.
